Our Program

Before Social Equity and Inclusion became a popular hot topic, we were here! Higher Learning Institutions started in the inner cities prioritizing educating and training individuals in Disproportionately Impacted Areas affected by the failed War on Drugs. Starting in Michigan, we saw the coming a new industry, but we didn't see any plans for workforce development and education.   

Established in May of 2019, Higher Learning Institution was created with one goal in mind, to help further educate the citizens of Oakland County and surrounding counties on the benefits of cannabis. A goal that since then has changed to something greater, to help individuals in inner cities across the country find gainful employment in the legal cannabis industry, through quality education and training. Founded by Sammie Rogers, a visionary who started as a consultant with his company SRT (Sammie Rogers Training), where he trained and helped get caregivers established. He realized that education and proper training of such would help provide opportunity for lower income individuals an access to higher paying jobs within this budding industry.
